The Brief: To create work, to be used on site at the Royal Nation College for the Blind (RNC), that helps improve public understanding of visual impairments (VI).
2. My Strategy:
Who: Visitors of the RNC.
What? Physical artwork to be displayed.
Where? In thePoint4 building.
Why? So that guests and members of the college facilities are more aware and understanding of differing VI.
How? By gathering primary and secondary research, involving meetings, attending student tutorials and workshops, questionnaires and conducting interviews.
3. The Result: A series of portraits that depict three people with VI, in both the way I see them and in the way they would see them self, from one-to-one interviews with each of them describing their sight.
